Recreation Program

The Royal Palm Beach Strikers recreational program is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high level competition. The purpose of our recreational program is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the game, and develop skills and a love for the game.

The Royal Palm Beach Strikers recreational program serves as an intra-club league which plays its games at the Katz Field complex.

Players are evaluated and then assigned to a team in a random manner within their appropriate age group - as opposed to “competitive soccer” where the players are selected to be on a team through some sort of tryout or selection process.  The use of tryouts, invitations, recruiting or any similar process to roster players to any team on the basis of talent or ability is prohibited.  A system of rostering players is used to establish a fair or balanced distribution of playing talent among all teams participating.

The club's recreational program policy requires that each player must play at least 50% of each game except for reasons of injury, illness, or discipline.  This policy is closely monitored and strictly enforced.

The Royal Palm Beach Strikers recreational program also serves as a developmental league for its players seeking to  progress to the club's competitive program.

The Royal Palm Beach Strikers Board of Directors closely monitors the conduct of its players, coaches, parents and volunteers.  Any parties found to be in violation of the club's and/or FYSA's expected conduct will be sanctioned in accordance with a ZERO TOLERANCE policy.
